Proprietor of pda, Jeff Jones, has been involved in infrastructure operations and projects since his career foundation in the oil & gas industry in the late 80’s. Jeff was Exxon trained as a project engineer in Esso/BHP’s Bass Strait oil & gas fields obtaining significant experience in infrastructure operations and lifecycle asset management.
Jeff’s project delivery experience was further solidified from over 12 years with Thiess Pty Ltd, including Senior Project Manager roles for large infrastructure projects across a diverse range of industry sectors and infrastructure assets, delivered under a variety of project delivery methods including hard dollar lump sum through to schedule of rates and alliance contracts. In all of Jeff’s project pursuits, recognizing the end goal of an operational asset and making full life-cycle decisions has always been a priority.
Jeff’s role with Thiess Corporate responsible for implementation and support of risk and assurance systems helped consolidate and evolve pda’s core service offerings across risk management and workshop facilitation.
Throughout Jeff’s career he has been directly involved in or undertaken a review or audit of most of Australia’s major infrastructure projects in the last two decades, including numerous Vic/NSW/QLD major motorway, bridge & tunnelling projects, offshore & onshore oil & gas and pipelines including the $20B Santos GLNG mega-project, national & international mine sites, QLD coal export terminals, rail, power stations & HV transmission and prison upgrades.
Pda is regularly engaged to undertake independent audits of infrastructure operations, risk assessments for both enterprise and project contexts and various forms of workshop facilitation.
Jeff brings a wealth of successful project delivery experience within a diverse industry operating context and has first-hand understanding of business drivers to allow pda to provide superior infrastructure consulting services.
